The draft continues to creep closer and closer and most if not all of the local Patriots coverage deals with this weekend’s selection process. New England has 12 picks heading into the three-day extravaganza and opinions vary greatly as to which direction the team might be looking early on.
Wide receiver is a position that many feel the Patriots could/should be interested in. Among the current depth chart, only Julian Edelman represents a proven, consistent performer at the position. The problem is, the Patriots haven’t always been successful when focusing on wide receiver in the draft.
