LOS ANGELES, Calif. – With one move, the Los Angeles Lakers became, in most people’s eyes, the favorite to win the NBA Championship next year. But they’re not done.
After trading for New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis, the Lakers have now set their sights on Kawhi Leonard.
In his analysis of NBA free agency, The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor reports sources say the Lakers plan to pursue Leonard. Oh, but wait. There’s more.
It’s just one of the many rumors following the Lakers around. The New York Times reported Kemba Walker is the team’s top target in free agency.

Leonard may be the bigger mystery. After winning a championship with the Toronto Raptors, no one seems to know what he will do.
Leonard could stay in Toronto. However, should he join the Lakers, it would give the team three of the NBA five best players. We could be looking at a Miami Heat situations all over again.
